Digital Art created in photohshop and illustrator CS5.
"Happiness is a butterfly, which, when pursued, is always just beyond your grasp, but which, if you will sit down quietly, may alight upon you." - Nathaniel Hawthorne
I use to put my work down too. But as I have grown artistically I have realized that was a waste of time. I still continue to grow but to compare my work to other artists without learning from it is just a waste of energy. So compare your work to what it was a year ago and see how you have grown creatively. Now that is productive.
lol. thanks gigistar. i have came a long way. i constantly hear people telling me they don't understand why i do abstract designs. so i tried doing other kinds of art. it was tough but i love doing abstract art. that's why i'm my design projects now. i want to show others my point of view in art. so i want to use different kinds of art and combine them with abstract.
here's 2 of my design projects so far: [link][link]
Love Art is Explosive. Mixed media within digital- like I use some of my fractals within my digital paintings. Or in Wild Azure a combination of vectors, pixels images & my photoshop brushes. You shouldnt let people dictate what type of art you focus on. You have to go with what you love and what your interested in, unless of course your doing a job, then it's about what the client wants. I just did a couple of logo jobs. I tried to steer them in a direction I thought artistically was the right direction, but in the end they wanted a boring replica of their competitors logo. So i kept my mouth shut and gave them what they wanted and got paid to turn off every creative impulse I had. After I picked up my wacom pen and opened ps and painter and created an abstract and shook it off.
lol. i had a few jobs like that and that's why i love doing abstract art. no one tells me how to do something, no rules or boundaries. Wild Azure is a great piece of artistic freedom.
it seems everyone has a wacom now-a-days. XD being broke is no fun. also i would love to digital paint people in the near future. it looks like so much fun.
Tell me abou it. I am new to being broke. I mean I've never been rich but when I wanted an ipad i could buy an ipad. I can't wait to be able to work again. As you know the chemo is putting this off. Yesterday my mouse died and I was like how am I going to pay for this. A mouse for gods sake!! I get payed for small design jobs here and there but I have medical bills to pay. I love clothes too!!! I lived at Banana Republic. I wonder what the sales girls think what happened to me. I am surprised they haven't come looking for me. Ok I am sorry about ranting but I can't wait to get to work and make money again!!!! This sucks
